Sally Kipyego Returns To The Olympics.
Sally Kipyego is going to be a 2x Olympian but the circumstances could not be more different. 2012 saw her honoring her country of birth by winning Kenya a 10,000m Silver medal in London… 2020 will see her representing the Stars and Stripes as a mother and a marathoner.
Sally’s credentials are as legit as anyone in the field — Olympic silver medal, World Championships silver medal, NCAA Champion — and could indicate that she could be a darkhorse medal contender on the course in Sapporo… which could not be more different than Atlanta was on Saturday.
Sally’s return to the sport post-childbirth is an inspiration, women everywhere are looking at Sally’s accomplishment this weekend and feeling inspired that having a child isn’t the end of your personal goals and dream.
