For the first time ever, NWSL veterans will be able to control their own destiny. The players have fought hard to take agency over their bodies and ultimately, control over where they will spend the next few years plying their trade. It’s an amazing time to be following the league and any team can completely change their trajectory with how they handle these next few weeks.

So, let’s dive into a few of the biggest names on the list and try to forecast where they might fit best with the obvious caveat of us not having every team’s salary cap information.

Debinha

Welcome to the “Winter of Debinha”™️

As a GM you won’t have many opportunities to sign one of the best players in the world without giving away an immense amount of assets. Debinha has been the main driving force for the North Carolina Courage since she entered the league and led the NWSL in non-penalty goals last season. It’s hard to truly quantify Debinha’s importance to the Courage but losing a player who is in the top 10 of every offensive category from goals to shot-creating actions will surely leave a huge gaping hole in their roster.
